On many occasions, when plant hydrangeas, camellias, gardenias, azaleas and other species, we see that yellow soon and it costs a lot to develop in good conditions. In a large proportion of cases it is because the soil where we plant is not suitable. The substrate for acidophilic plants is suitable substrate for these plants.

Its composition is as follows:

Black peat

Peat

Forest land (consisting mainly of decaying plant material)

Guano

Added fertilizer

This substrate can be used both for new plantings and for plants that we have and so we can improve the substrate.

There are quite acidophilic plants, here are a little more extensive list: hydrangeas, gardenias, azaleas, camellias, acer palmatum, rhododendron, ericas or heather.

Recommendation:

A common shortcoming of such plants is iron. To detect it, we see that the leaves turn yellow with green veins clearly.
