Choose the perfect place for your homemade composter
Taking a home garden takes hours of work, but also learning. Most of this training process has a strong trial and error component, but there is no need to suffer to learn. It is the case of composters. Generating compost from scratch has its advantages, but you can always start in the simple way. It is advisable not to stress too much, and composting involves many hours of dedication, and not less training. Avoid the initial problems of composting, buying a composter. Once you calm down the domestic composters, you can delve into the wonderful world of composting.
Where to place the homemade composter?
Surely you are already aware of the 'waste' that you can use as a raw material for composting, but what about the composter's placement? They are small in size, for fertilizer of mini-gardens or garden fertilizer, which you can place in the kitchen or in some area inside your home.
But what about the standard-sized homemade composters. For these composters, you need to free up space in the garden, on the terrace, in the same garden or in a similar place in the outdoor areas. The reasonable question is ... where should a composter be placed?
There are not many location restrictions when we talk about domestic composters, since they behave perfectly on both 'natural' and 'artificial' surfaces. That is, most homemade composters can be left directly on all types of soil: soil, slab, asphalt, etc.
Place the composter on the ground
Obviously, if you have space in the garden to place the domestic composter, much better. Fundamentally, the advantage is that the composter's material interacts with the biological agents present in the soil. Not to mention the issue of composter drainage, which greatly improves.
Drainage is always important, but it is even more important when it comes to making compost from domestic remains. It is estimated that up to a third of this homemade waste is mostly water, which will go directly to the substrate if you place the composter directly on the ground.
Place the composter wherever you want
In the absence of space in the garden or in the garden, you can always place your prefabricated composter wherever you want (or can). Many homemade composters include in their structure a closed container in the lower part, where excess liquid is stored. This part also acts as the base of the composter, which can be placed on any surface.
Compared to composters without base or support, they have mobility as the main advantage, although the use of stored liquids as fertilizer can also be highlighted. Of course, to use this liquid compost, you have to be careful with its conservation.
It is not an issue that requires too much attention, beyond controlling the temperature taking into account sun exposure. The objective is to maintain a microsystem in the composter at an ideal temperature for microorganisms.
